VIP, an Indiana corporation, is a wireless management company started in 1992. VIP introduces itself and its services by providing prospective customers a free CBA. By doing the free CBA, VIP demonstrates one way a business can benefit from dealing with VIP.
Once a business is introduced to VIP and sees the advantages of using VIP's team, the business may well use VIP to manage its wireless account. (Call it relationship marketing.) Once the relationship is established, VIP earns its money by activating lines when the customer needs them, upgrading equipment as the customer wants it, providing accessories to the customer at wholesale prices, and handling cellular problems the customer may encounter (resolving billing disputes, replacing broken or lost equipment, effecting changes in features, etc.).
Why not just get an RPA from my carrier?
This is a common question. The answer, though obvious to those in the wireless industry, is not easily seen by the consumer. The fact is that all carriers stress Average Revenue Per Unit (ARPU). An important factor employed when measuring the success of any carrier is ARPU. ARPU contributes to the stock value of all carriers. A carrier’s profit is directly influenced by ARPU. Rhetorically, why would any carrier recommend changes that would reduce its ARPU and be detrimental to the carrier's best interest? (Answer, they won’t.) The carrier’s concern is its bottom line whereas VIP’s focus is on helping its customers save money while getting great service.
